Important One Month Notice Re. Marine Gas Oil (MGO) – rates now available

Please be advised that as from 1^st January 2015 the European Union Sulphur Directive 2012/33/EU becomes legislation. Please call a member of our sales department, who will be happy to confirm how this will affect your rates.

The law makes either the use of expensive Marine Gas Oil (MGO) or the installation of expensive technology enabling the cleaning of exhaust gasses in all ships obligatory.

The costs involved in the use of MGO or the conversion of ships to reduce sulphur emissions is expected to be high and will be passed on as a MGO BAF , Marine Gas Oil Bunker adjustment factor.

We intend to keep all our customers informed as more information becomes available, in the meantime we will be happy to receive your calls when we will endeavour to explain the situation and implications further.
